The trekking overnight tour that crosses the National Park from Los Patos to Sirena and then to La Leona along the coast is undoubtedly one of the most iconic treks in Costa Rica. The sector from Los Patos to Sirena is a journey of about 10 - 12 hours of pure tropical rainforest. The Sirena station, which is in the heart of the park, is considered the biological station with the most bio-diversity in Costa Rica. The second stage covers parts of the jungle and the beach from Sirena to La Leona, the entrance-exit to the south of the park. DAY 1: Puerto Jimenez to Los Patos a Sirena. Today includes ground transportation from Puerto Jimenez to Los Patos, crossing beautiful river landscapes, dense tropical jungle and with incredible wildlife luck. The tour lasts approximately 9 hours. In the afternoon you arrive at the Sirena station and the overnight arrangements are established. Possibility of appreciating the nocturnal fauna and flora.
DAY 2: Free day in Sirena. It is time to explore the many paths that Sirena offers, such as the circuit to the Sirena River, secondary routes through the jungle or the hike to the beautiful mouth of the Rio Claro. The fauna and flora in Sirena is of another level.
DAY 3: After breakfast, walk from 6 - 7 hours to La Leona, the park station further south. This route offers new and diverse landscapes, combining beach with a mix of tropical rain forest.
