The park is remote, wild, unspolied. Located far South in the remot Osa Peninsula.
The Corcovado National Park has several park ranger stations and entrances. The San Pedrillo Ranger Station is the most popular since it is also the closest to Drake Bay, while Sirena is the most remote and most desired, its fame has gone worldwide and animal sightings there have been breathtaking. La Leona is the southernmost entrance one the ocean also, and Los Patos is the only ranger station located inland. One particular interesting hike is crossing the entire park from Los Patos to Sirena in a 10 hour hike crossing the dense primary rainforests.
During some months of the year, several humpback whales come to the Osa from South America and also from North America.
The most remote ranger station can only be visited traveling by boat from Drkae Bay, or by foot crossing the entire park.
The northernmost entrance to Corcovado is the most visited entry point. Fauna and flora has increased over the passt few years.
