Clients stay outside the national park, and in those areas there are beautiful beaches to swim. One of the most beautiful beaches is undoubtedly the small beach of Rio Claro, next to the mouth of the Rio Claro. This is located south of Drake Bay, and it is reached after a walk of about 1 hour. Another very beautiful beach is San Josecito Beach, which offers approximately 1.5 kilometers of area. In both cases, as in all Costa Rican beaches, we recommend taking care with currents. We also advise to avoid the sea when there is strong waves. In general, there are no additional latent threats. We recommend not swimming too far out, and never swim near river mouths.
